Starting out as Schionning Boats, Jeff and Lorraine were among the first (if not the first) to begin thinking along the lines of a material "kit" to make building your own multihull more achievable. This has now become a very popular idea with many boatyards, designers and kit producers popping up overnight. Founded in 1988 by Jeff and Lorraine Schionning, the business has grown to not only include an in house design studio but a comprehensive Marine Supply business as well. We are represented in several countries with Agents in South Africa, UK, USA and New Zealand.
Built on the back of 45 years of hands on boat building and many thousands of ocean miles, Jeff's design portfolio is comprehensive with ranges of sailing and power catamarans for private or commercial use and for amateur or professional builders. These designs bring you the best in design, safety, performance and style and we continually update construction plans to use the best methods and materials available.
We aim to provide plans and materials of the highest possible standard with "service" being our priority both in supply and backup support to our builders. In design we aim to make your project simple and safe, and as much fun as possible and your investment a healthy return.
