Wilderness KIT Catamarans
Our Wilderness range of cats are built using pre-glassed, balsa or foam cored
composite panels. Full pre-cut KITS are available with the option of pre-cut
furniture kits as well Available in sizes 859 (8.5m) & 930(9.3m)(these 2
not in kit form), 1030(10.3m) 1100(11m), 1230 (12.30), 1320(13.2m), 1480 (14.8m)
and 1620 (16.20). Standard plans are available if you don't wish to purchase
the pre-cut kit option. The Wilderness construction method offers an extremely
quick and simple solution to building whether you're a professional or amateur
builder.
Aquaplay Power Catamarans
Our Aquaplay range of power cats are perfect live-aboard, long distance cruisers.
With higher displacement and fuller beam to length ratio's than the Prowlers,
they will cruise around 12 knots economically and very comfortably. Construction
is strip planked Durakore or Western Red Cedar with composite panels for flat
areas and furniture.
Alaskan Power Catamarans
The Alaskan Power Catamaran range fits between our Prowler and Aquaplay designs.
The Alaskan 390 (11.9m) follows a "Classic" look while the 460 (15.9m)
is more the "Trawler" style of cat. Both cats have the same underwater
section with economical cruising speeds of around 15-16 knots. Very much family
boats capable of ocean crossings - our real passagemakers. Both strip planked
designs, the 360 offers an option of pre-made molded components for the major
shell construction with full pre-cut interior kit. These can be shipped anywhere
in the world.
Cosmos Catamarans
Our Cosmos range of catamarans are most suited to cruising. They are very efficient
sailing cats with all the features you'd want in a true round the world cruiser.
Starting at 9.3m, we also have an 11m, 11.6m, 12.5m (option in survey), a 13.2m,
14.3m (also option in survey) and 17.5m. This range of cats has been very well
proven with many launched and sailing. Construction is strip planked Durakore
or Western Red Cedar.
Growler Catamarans
The Growlers are a little different. They are fast, comfortable, safe cats that
can be raced competitively short handed. Accommodation is limited with no headroom
in the bridgedeck. Availabe 11.5m and 15m.
Waterline Catamarans
Our Waterline sailing catamaran range are performance/cruisers. Their long slim
hulls offer exceptional sailing performance yet they have fantastic accommodation
options for cruising. Being slim hulls they are only for the serious sailor
who will be very concious of weight limitations and restrictions in every area,
during construction and when sailing. Waterline cats are built with Durakore
strip planking. If strict weight criteria are met, they make fantastic cruising
cats. Sizes 11.6 metre, 13.2 metre, 14.8 metre, 16.2 metre and 17.5 metre.
Prowler Power Catamarans
The Prowler range of Power Cats use a semi-displacement hull shape that allows
speeds over 20 knots. The range includes a 7m, 9m (production & kit only),
11m, 420(42'), (400 & 450 - production in South Africa) and 580(58'). Their
very efficient hull shapes reduce fuel consumption and so give them exceptional
economy and cruising capabilities. Some Prowlers are production built, some
have kits available and others are available in plan form being strip planked
Durakore - check each individual design.
Radical Bay Sailing Catamarans
The Radical Bay designs will appeal to those looking for something a bit different,
yet simple, efficient and economical.
Line Honours Catamarans
Our Line Honours designs are our really lean, mean, sailing machines. They are
extremely good looking, extremely efficient sailing designs, and no doubt provide
extreme fun! They don't however provide 'extreme' comfort but do have surprisingly
good accommodation. If you choose efficiency above comfort take a look...
