The whole aim of this design is really to go back to basics and to end up with a fresh lively little boat that is firstly a pleasure to sail and secondly has enough accommodation. I am looking for the simplicity and economy that seems in most designs today to be slipping away.
Her sailing ability will be fresh and exciting, this is directly related to her feel. She's reasonably rigged and very light so the power to weight ratio is high. This allows her to accelerate fast in gusts and with the simple tiller steering, to spin off and surf the odd steep wave. Bridgedeck clearance is 650mm so she can be pushed to windward without slamming. Buoyancy distribution is pushed out to the ends giving her exceptional stability fore and aft.
